It's been an interesting and far from dull, local campaign season. Good luck to the candidates for the Westonka School Board. They are: David Botts, Roger Bredeson, Ann Bremer, Gary Henja, John Johns, Tom Notch, and Ray Salazar

      The judge at the registration table was asking everyone who was voting for an ID. This is improper, and I told him so loudly. The judge scoffed, and looked up my name and allowed me to vote, but continued to ask voters for the ID.

      This is wrong, and I called the school to let them know it was happening.

      On an interesting side note-

      In the latest Mound newsletter, there was a small blurb asking us to report to the city any homes that become abandoned (because of foreclosures). The city was prepared to act to maintain buildings and insure safety.

      The Star Tribune has an article about the increase of foreclosures, and their affect on local city government.
