Comprehensive Plan meeting Monday Night

Monday night at 7:00 at Mound's City Hall, public input can be given about the cities Comprehensive (Comp) Plan. The general question is, what should Mound be doing with its land? Email comments seem to be encouraged:  sarahsmith@cityofmound.com  (I corrected this email based upon a blog comment. I am sorry about that.)

I'm a bit skeptical about parts of the process, and I believe all cities in Minnesota are required to do this. Yes, infrastructure planning is arguably a good idea, but how much beyond that do we need to go?

Another question I would have is, how is Mound's Comp plan tied together with Minnetrista's? I think one should try to describe Minnetrista's plans for development, in order to figure out what Mound is going to do?

      I personally don't think the city has a clue what it is going to do. Pretty much run by the seat of their pants. I also don't think that Mound should make decisions based on what Minnetrista is going to do. With the state of affairs here in Mound, the city should probably have Minnetrista decide for them as it's obvious that this council hasn't a clue about what's good for this city.

      I know that the link is wrong on the City of Mound site as well. It amazes and maddens me that in this day and age, Mound has yet to find someone with the ability to properly develop and manage a website.
