Introducing the Westonka Wiki. This Wiki is similar to Wikipedia, the encyclopedia that anyone can edit. The idea for the Westonka Wiki is to be a site with information about the local area. It is hosted by Wikia, Inc., which could be called a spin-off of Wikipedia. What the site needs is editors to write it, and watch over it. The site is quite limited as of now, but you can help take care of that. I'd ask that if you wish to contribute your time, that you start out conservatively, and take some time to learn how Wikipedia, and wikis operate. Find the site here: Westonka Wiki

I grew up in Mound and lived there for most of my 45 years. I visited the Westonka blog site and noticed in the list of past and present businesses a couple of revisions could be in order. It reads; “Pete’s Prize Pantry, the Bakery, William’s Store, Westonka Sports. It is the Piggly Wiggly, the Barber Shop, Wolner field, the Netka Building, the Crow River State Bank, Carl’s Station, Longpre’s, and Duane’s 66.” What about the State Bank of Mound? I think Cal would be offended by his shop being referred to as “the Barber Shop”. I don’t think “the Bakery” can be easily remembered as would the actual name; Mr. B’s MTKA Bakery”. Maybe Mound has changed its skin too many times over the last 30 years.

Thank you for helping me out here. I've added the State Bank of Mound and Mr. B's Minnetonka Bakery.
