French Creek Preserve is on the East side of Old Crystal Bay Road a little North of County Road 51 (Northshore Drive). It has a walking path that runs along what looks like an old sewer plant pond. French Lake looks a lot like a marsh, and its French Creek connects it to Crystal Bay. What I think happened is, they built the holding pond into an existing marsh by making a berm. Google: "Minnetonka Beach, MN", and then pick the map it suggests, and then switch to hybrid view. Find Crystal Bay and then French Lake to the Northeast. You'll see the pond right in the middle of a marsh. For all those really wanting to know, Mound shut down its sewer plant in the 70s, and just pipes it to the Twin Cities now.

Breaking News: The recent global warming rain, has resumed the flow of Langdon Bay Creek, which is now officially flowing.
