Spirit of the Lakes Festival in Mound

The third annual Spirit of the Lakes Festival will be held July 19, 20 and 21 in Mound. Thursday night's activities will include a Kiddie Parade and Music in the Park at Mound Bay Park beginning at 7 p.m. A Boots & Badges Safety Fair will be held Friday, July 20, at Stonegate Plaza in Mound (corner of Wilshire and Shoreline Boulevards) beginning at 5 p.m. Other events that evening include a Skate Park competition, food court and street dance featuring the Shaw Brothers Band. Saturday's activities begin with the parade at 10 a.m. (Bartlett Boulevard to Commerce to Auditor's Road), followed by a full day of music, entertainment, food, water ski show, art and business fair, and more at Mound Bay Park. The event will wrap up with the popular fireworks display at dusk. (Rain date for fireworks is July 22).
