Cheryl Hill writes yesterday"

"Judge Lipman said that I should take up the public debate on the "gloomy and incomplete." No groups cannot be held accountable for false information unless the complainant, in this case me, can prove they knew the informations was false and proceeded with reckless disregard. Even if no groups can hide behind the skirt of the law, that doesn't excuse their ethics...

What I learned that was most surprising, is that school districts are prohibited by law to have the same freedom of speech. They cannot express opinions, they cannot be persuasive, they cannot misrepresent information and they must be accurate."

Greenslit writes: Yes! Westonka is free to say what it pleases as well. As a side note, aren't they saying about the same as the district? Be credible or not in the minds of the users. That's both groups choice, and this doesn't require a lot of government, but may require something of the citizens.

The District has resources, and experience with these types of issues. I don't think the law is too strict in regards to a school district's neutrality.

I'm Sheryl, with an "S". Just so we don't confuse me with the Cheryl Hill the community with a "C". I asked that of the Yes!Westonka group, and the United Parents for Public Education Director. Both told me that because YES Groups represent their school districts, YES Groups are cautious in how they rebuke claims of NO Group.

In Mound, I feel like both groups have been presented very well in editorials to the Laker.

My concern, and confusion, is who holds NO Groups and YES Groups and Districts accountable. What I learned...people like you, people like me.
