Sheryl Hill wrote today:  "As an FYI, I filed the complaint on financials because the Notch's reported in the Star & Tribune that they had "Money from 100's of residents." Their financial report filed with the OAH office showed less than 10 checks totally less than $750, not hundreds."

I had a look at the stories I've read. In this one: Strib 100306, I found: "So when the new bond proposal was put forth in June, their organization soon attracted volunteers, verbal support and money from about 300 residents, whom Cindy protectively refers to as "our constituents.""

I think that the "300" could refer to volunteers, verbal support, or money. I think the important thing here is to realize it doesn't necessarily apply to all three things. Do we have a someone who knows more about what sentences mean than I do, reading this blog? It is also possible Ms. Hill is referring to another published story.

Ms. Hill has three comments today on the blog, all found on the sidebar to the right. If you Quicksearch, "Strib" you will find three pdf files, which is what I have on what the Star Tribune wrote in early Ocotober.

I do see your point. I read that they had lots of money and saw the banners around town so I assumed it must be right. I think it was great of Cindy to file the finance report for the no group because she knew people had questions, even though the no group did not receive or spend more than the $750 required.
